We have an exciting opportunity to join the PharmEnable team and play an important commercial role in our growing business. Our mission is to make a difference to patients by developing the next generation of small molecule drugs for challenging diseases.
Who we are: PharmEnable is a growing drug discovery company using advanced medicinal chemistry and AI approaches to develop highly complex, specific and novel small molecule drugs to treat conditions of high unmet medical need. We work with co-discovery partners and are also progressing our own in-house drug discovery portfolio.
What your role will be: As Alliance Manager, you join our Business Development team and will be responsible for project management of our co-discovery alliances, and supporting the development of our in-house drug discovery pipeline by identifying and negotiating agreements with commercial service providers and academic collaborators. This is a significant role in the business, as PharmEnable relies extensively on third party suppliers for supporting our drug discovery capabilities. On a day-to-day basis, your work will include managing and coordinating our growing portfolio of in-house and partnership programmes and keeping track of programme timelines, milestones and financials. Along with this, you will identify and liaise with commercial service providers to support the development of our platform and drug discovery pipeline, including negotiating service agreements with CROs and software providers, and monitoring delivery of services once the agreements are in place. You will also identify relevant academic and non-profit partners and collaborators, and be responsible for establishing and maintaining good working relationships with them.
We are interested in: Talented candidates with a relevant scientific and/or business background and an interest in drug discovery, who are passionate about supporting drug discovery efforts from the commercial side. Strong people and communication skills are a must, and experience with project management involving multiple stakeholders would be helpful for the role. As part of our Business Development team, this role will also involve negotiating contracts and working with lawyers, so requires attention to detail and a willingness to learn about this side of the business.
We are looking for: Someone who believes in our mission and will join us in our passionate belief that we can make a real difference to people’s lives. We are a collaborative team, who put great effort into team-work, continuous learning and above all creating a working environment where we embrace each other’s strengths and enable each person to achieve their potential. Your commitment to this way of working will be essential.
What we offer: A permanent full-time position and the opportunity to work with a highly motivated team of world-class scientists and business leaders, a flexible approach to working life with the ability to work from home or with our team in Cambridge (UK), as well as a competitive package and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic business at an early stage.
